The initiative in building  the Grunwald cross on the Cumowa Grapa (has been also called Grunwald for hundred years) was taken by priest Figuła from the parish in Milówka. According to the oral legend told by local people, he wanted to use the stones brought on the steep hill near the place where the Kameszniczka runs into the Soła in Milówka. The stones were brought as a penance given to the people who confessed to drink their way through their savings from heritage. The parish priest Cisiek supported the project and made it happen. At the time, Poland was still under the Austrian rule in 1910.

More active parishioners from Cisiec, Milówka and other villages that belongs to the parish Milówka started working. On 15th , July, 1910, the statue with the cross was uncovered on Cumowa Grapa. It was at the 500th anniversary of the polish knighthood victory leaded by Władysław II Jagiełło in the battle of Grunwald.

It was erected by the local patriots, but especially by the parish priest Cisiek and priest Figura from Milówka. It was funded from the social donations. It was made by Wojciech and Wincenty Grzegorzek. The following signs were set on the statue:

The Queen of  Poland pray for us,

For a good name for our forefathers, Brothers for comfort,

The Homeland comes after God and parents as the greatest heritage.

1410-1910 and other lines.

The statue was destroyed during the war on 8th , December, 1943 by the youth organization Hitlerjugend at the command of Zinger and Grindel. The stones were thrown into the trenches that have been there since December 1939. The cross was taken to the scrap yard. After long efforts of the Milówka inhabitants, the statue was rebuilt by firefighters from Voluntary Fire Station in Milówka. The statue was rebuilt to its original state with the cast-iron cross. The statue was uncovered on 26th ,May, 1984. On 15th , July, 1984, at the anniversary of the battle of Grunwald, the statue was sacred by the parish priest Józef Woźniak.
